Secure Transport
Once the internet became a mainstream channel for accessing corporate data, the practice of transport security became critical in order to keep the ever growing numbers of valid users connected – and security threats out.
However, the encryption of traffic running between both the corporate network and client devices and site to site traffic has proved to be an expensive exercise, as software updates have typically been performed locally at the client device.
Armadillo solves key transport access and security issues via a number of methods:
- New SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and VPN (Virtual Private Network) technologies are used to help companies automate the necessary upgrades to their security policies. In addition, these same techniques can be utilised to secure the network traffic within business partner extranets or supply chain networks
- Zero footprint connectivity software is deployed to provide staff and customers with access to corporate resources without the need for client side software - meaning that users can access data from any machine, on any network, wherever they are
- Real time policy enforcement to allow security policies to be delivered on an 'on demand' basis. This method improves security levels by matching user requests to data resources on the fly, depending upon a variety of evolving criteria
